This lizard eats vegetables, fruits, insects, and even meat- chicken ,turkey or rodent. The blue tongued skink is from Tasmania ,Australia and New Guinea. You can easily duplicate their native environment which is naturally dry or semi-desert .You can use large cages with a substrate material with temperature in the cage from 80 degrees up to a 100+ degree basking spot.
